Hoạt động xuất khẩu trực tiếp là một hình thức xuất khẩu hàng hoá mà trong đó các doanh nghiệp ngoại thương tự bỏ vốn ra mua các sản phẩm từ các đơn vị sản xuất trong nước, sau đó bán các sản phẩm này cho các khách hàng nước ngoài (có thể qua một số công đoạn gia công chế biến).
