Trên cơ sở chuỗi số liệu quan trắc từ năm 1981 – 2015 tại Nam Bộ và phương pháp thống kê, đánh giá xu thế biến đổi của các yếu tố nhiệt độ, lượng mưa, mực nước đỉnh chiều tại Nam Bộ.

Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy nhiệt độ trung bình năm tại Nam Bộ năm 2015 là 27.5 oC, nhiệt độ tối cao tuyệt đối không có xu thế tăng giảm rõ rệt, nhiệt độ tối thấp tuyệt đối có xu thế tăng cao hơn so với nhiệt độ trung bình. Về lượng mưa trung bình năm 2015 là 1623.4mm, lượng nước trung bình về các hồ chứa ở thượng nguồn nhỏ hơn so với trung bình nhiều năm từ 25-45%.
