I. CẤU TẠO CỦA ĐĨA CD:
Đĩa CD nhìn tổng quan là một miếng nhựa tròn dày tầm 1,2mm. Cụ thể nó là mảnh nhựa Polycarbonate ép khuôn tròn có bán kính khoảng 6cm. Cấu tạo chính gồm bốn phần cơ bản như sau.
1. Lớp nhãn đĩa: chứa thông tin của nhà sản xuất và thông tin của đĩa (dung lượng, tốc độ ghi,...)
2. Lớp nhựa Acrylic: dùng để tách lớp nhãn và mặt dữ liệu, có thể được phủ một lớp chống ẩm để bảo vệ bề mặt lự dữ liệu.
3. Lớp nhôm: chứa “dữ liệu” của CD, có khả năng phản xạ ánh sáng.
4. Lớp nhựa Polycarbonate: dùng để bảo vệ lớp nhôm.
