This module aims to introduce students to the external environment in which a business organization is active. It focuses on both the micro-economic environment and macroeconomics. The module helps students see the economy as an integral part of the business by starting with the problem that the business faces daily and use economics to help understand and solve these problems. Emphasis on real-world applications of Economics to business, such as the causes and the impact of the credit crisis on the business. The use of case studies and extensive use of an interactive computer packages is the center of this module.
