Cùng với xu thế mở cửa và hội nhập với nền kinh tế thế giới, hoạt động kinh tế nói chung cũng như hoạt động kinh tế đối ngoại nói riêng ngày càng mở rộng. Sự giao lưu buôn bán hàng hoá giữa các quốc gia khác nhau với khối lượng ngày một lớn đã đòi hỏi quá trình thị trường hàng hoá xuất nhập khẩu phải nhanh chóng thuận tiện cho các bên.
Sau thời gian thực tập tại phòng Thanh toán quốc tế – Phòng giao dịch Quận 1 trực thuộc ngân hàng Nông nghiệp và Phát triển nông thôn Việt Nam- (Agribank Sài Gòn), em nhận thấy tín dụng chứng từ là phương thức thanh toán được áp dụng phổ biến nhất hiện nay. Bởi lẽ nó đáp ứng được nhu cầu của hai phía: Người bán hàng đảm bảo nhận tiền, người mua nhận được hàng và có trách nhiệm trả tiền. Đây là phương thức tín dụng quốc tế được áp dụng phổ biến và an toàn nhất hiện nay, đặc biệt là trong thanh toán hàng hoá xuất nhập khẩu.
Trong năm qua Phòng giao dịch Võ Văn Kiệt đã không ngừng đổi mới và nâng cao các nghiệp vụ thanh toán của mình để phục vụ tốt cho khách hàng, đáp ứng nhu cầu thanh toán hàng hoá xuất nhập khẩu của khách hàng. Cùng với chính sách kinh tế đối ngoại ngày càng mở rộng, thông thoáng của Chính phủ, hoạt động xuất nhập khẩu ngày càng phát triển. Do đó, hình thức thanh toán tín dụng chứng từ ngày càng được phát triển và hoàn thiện hơn.
Xuất phát từ vấn đề nêu trên,em muốn đi sâu vào nghiên cứu đề tài: “Mở rộng dịch vụ thanh toán quốc tế năm 2015 và tầm nhìn đến năm 2020 tại Ngân hàng Nông nghiệp và Phát triển nông thôn Việt Nam- Quận 1” nhằm tìm hiểu thêm về hoạt động thanh toán quốc tế tại Phòng giao dịch Võ Văn Kiệt. Đồng thời tìm ra giải pháp mở rộng hoạt động thanh toán quốc tế theo phương thức tín dụng chứng từ tại Phòng giao dịch Võ Văn Kiệt.

Together with foreign economic policy more open, airy, Government import-export activities increasingly grow. Therefore, the form of payment of credit vouchers are increasingly being developed and perfected.Derived from the aforesaid problems, I want to go deep into the study of the topic: "international payment service in 2015 and 2020 vision at the Bank for agriculture and rural development of Vietnam-District 1" in order to learn more about international payment operations in the trading Room Vo Van Kiet. At the same time find solutions expand operations according to international payment method to credit vouchers in the trading Room Vo Van Kiet.

Along with the trend of openness and integration with the world economy, economic activity in general and foreign economic activities in particular expanding. The trade and exchange of goods between different countries with growing volume demanded market process imported goods to quickly and conveniently to the parties.

In the past year Transaction Vo Van Kiet to constantly innovate and improve the its payment operations to better serve our customers, meet the needs of payment for goods import and export customers. Along with external economic policies expanding ventilated government, export activity is growing. Consequently, credit payments and vouchers increasingly developed and improved.
Starting from the problems mentioned above, I want to go deep into the study entitled "Expansion of international payment services in 2015 and Vision 2020 at the Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam-District 1 "to learn more about international payment operations in Transaction Vo Van Kiet. Also find solutions expand international payment methods in documentary credit transactions Department Vo Van Kiet.
