Van Cao (November 15, 1923 – July 10, 1995) was a famous musician and Vietnam. He is the author of the "Tien Quan ca", the national anthem of Vietnam, also is one of the most important face of new music. Van Cao was a painter, poet, with many values. Generation of avant-garde musicians, van Cao joined the Group Board, composed the romantic song "Ben Chun", "book", "Paradise", "Zhang Chi," ... stamped in the front Vietnam music history. After joining the Viet Minh, van Cao write "Tien Quan ca", "Lot", "River song advanced on Hanoi", became the band's musicians resistance. To the end of the 1980s, this new work was performed again. In 1996, a year after losing the high culture Ho Chi Minh Prize in awarded first prize. He has also been the State Vietnam war Medal, first class, order of the independent, first-class Independence Medal [1]His name was also given to many beautiful streets in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, hue, Da Nang, Hai Phong and Nam Dinh.
