Due to popular demand,we have implemented a Visual Skill Tier loss system for AFKers/deserters and queue dodgers.

I understand it may seem unfair to you personally, but the overwhelming feedback we received from the community has helped us decide that it is unfair to end up in a match with a player who feels that it is acceptable to leave them high and dry for a match they are trying their best to finish (win or lose!). I also understand how you may feel that your matchup could be unfavorable, but (in case you did not know) the matchmaker matches you based on MMR, not on Visual Skill Tier. Remember that MMR is different than the Visual Skill Tier. It is very possible that you end up in matches with players of a different Visual Skill Tier; however, their MMR is similar to yours (MMR takes into account the combined result of all seasons played up until now for every player). Visual Skill Tiers are reset every season, MMR is not.

The best advice we can offer at this point would be to avoid going AFK, deserting or dodging queues no matter what. It was never acceptable to start with, and now, sticking with a match is the only way to avoid being dished out such a penalty!

I am sorry you feel frustrated about this system, but the community has spoken and we obliged. We always make a point of following the wishes of the community when we can, and this is a change we trust will help players enjoy the game even more than before.

For the sunlight rewards, the good news is that this discrepancy is due to visual lag. We noticed that very few players are experiencing this, and each investigation we conducted as a result showed that nobody has ever actually lost Sunlight. It does show up eventually.

The fortunate truth is that the system records everything properly and nothing gets lost. We are inspecting the system for connection shenanigans, although it often looks like that the lag is not coming from us directly! But don't worry, I've checked your account and I can see that you've received everything you've won up until now. You'll only need patience to see it reflected on your end. It will come; please give it some time! wink

Also, remember that 1/3 Sunlight, or the T1/T2 bonus (1/3 & 2/3 respectively) may not show up as 1 full Sunlight straight away. Rather, it will accumulate over time to create one Sunlight. We are seeing a few players that are confused about this!
It may also be important to keep in mind that matches under 15 minutes will not give out Sunlight!

Have a look at this link for more info. I think it will help answer a few questions you may have:

Still, we are definitely investigating every report we get thoroughly, and apologise if the finer details created any confusion!
Thank you again for your report and enjoy the numerous free Summer bonuses and freebies available until the end of the season! smiley
