Bên góc phải phía trên của bức tranh là một hình ô vuông nhỏ cũng vẽ chân dung Chủ tịch Hồ Chí Minh. Những ô vuông còn lại với hình ảnh đen trắng, giản dị và gần gũi về đất nước và con người Việt Nam, càng làm nổi bật hình ảnh Chủ tịch Hồ Chí Minh, một con người vĩ đại, một danh nhân văn hóa thế giới.

Với niềm kính yêu Bác Hồ, họa sĩ người Pháp này đã dành gần hai tháng để hoàn thiện tác phẩm tâm huyết này và dành tặng Bảo tàng Hồ Chí Minh. Bà Vũ Thị Nhị, Phó Giám đốc Bảo tàng Hồ Chí Minh cho biết: “Bức tranh không chỉ thể hiện tình cảm kính yêu Bác Hồ của những người bạn Pháp, của bạn bè quốc tế, đồng thời đề cao mối hợp tác hữu nghị Việt Nam-Pháp tốt đẹp trong nhiều năm qua”.

Sau khi bức tranh đầu tiên vẽ chân dung nghệ thuật Chủ tịch Hồ Chí Minh khổ lớn của họa sĩ Bouvier để lại ấn tượng mạnh mẽ tại Festival Biển Nha Trang cách đây ba năm, họa sĩ tặng bức tranh này cho UBND tỉnh Khánh Hòa.
