1. Giới thiệu và chú thích
(1) Luật này có thể được viện dẫn như Luật bảo vệ người tiêu dùng năm 1999.
(2) Bộ trưởng sẽ quy định ngày có hiệu lực của luật này qua thông báo của Công báo. Bộ trưởng có thể chỉ định ngày có hiệu lực khác cho một số điều khoản của Luật này
2. Đối tượng điều chỉnh
(1) Theo quy định của tiểu mục (2): Luật này được áp dụng đối với hàng hóa và dịch vụ được chào bán hoặc cung cấp cho một hoặc một số người tiêu dùng
(2) Luật này không áp dụng đối với:
(a) Chứng khoán được quy định trong Luật kinh doanh chứng khoán 1983 [Luật 280]
(b) Đối với hợp đồng trong tương lai quy định trong Luật kinh doanh hàng hóa mua bán giao sau 1993 [Luật 499]
(c) Đối với hợp đồng được ký kết trước khi Luật này có hiệu lực
(d) Liên quan đến đất hoặc các quyền lợi gắn với đất trừ trường hợp được quy định chi tiết trong Luật này

1. Introduction and notes(1) this Act may be cited as the Consumer Protection Act 1999.(2) the Minister shall prescribe effective date of this law through announcements in The newspapers. The Minister may specify the effective date for certain provisions of this law2. Subject to(1) under the provisions of subsection (2): this law is applied for goods and services offered for sale or give one or a number of consumers(2) this Act does not apply to:(a) securities that are prescribed in the securities trading Act 1983 [Act 280](b) for contracts in the future rule of law in the sale of goods delivery business after the 1993 [Act 499](c) for contracts to be signed before the law takes effect(d) related to the land or the rights attaching to the land except in cases specified in this law

2. Subjects of regulation
(1) Subject to the provisions of subsection (2): This rule applies to goods and services offered or provided to one or several consumers
(2) This Act does not apply apply to:
(a) securities are specified in securities trading Act 1983 [Act 280]
(b) for future contracts stipulated in the Law on commodity trading futures trading in 1993 [Act 499]
(c) for contracts signed before the effective date of this Act
(d) in relation to the land or the rights attached to the land unless it is specified in detail in this Law
