Sáng 29-8, Điện lực huyện Đại Từ (thuộc Công ty Điện lực Thái Nguyên) đã tổ chức Kỷ niệm 25 năm Ngày thành lập.

Tiền thân là Chi nhánh Điện huyện Đại Từ - Phú Lương được thành lập ngày 02/09/1989, với nhiệm vụ quản lý kỹ thuật luới điện và kinh doanh trên địa bàn 3 huyện Đại Từ, Phú Luơng và huyện Sơn Dương (Tuyên Quang). Sau nhiều lần chia tách, đổi tên đến tháng 6-2010, thực hiện Quyết định số 747/QĐ-EVNNPC của Tổng Công ty Điện lực Miền Bắc, Điện lực Đại Từ có tên gọi như ngày nay, và ngày 2/9 hàng năm được chọn là Ngày truyền thống của các thế hệ cán bộ - công nhân viên của đơn vị.
