Một trong những vấn đề trong việc học hỏi và tiếp nhận tri thức của rất nhiều người hiện nay là tâm lý "hỏi mà không định học".

Chẳng hạn, thỉnh thoảng có những anh/chị/bạn hỏi tôi: "Anh nghĩ sao về hiện tượng X?" hay "Hiện tượng X này chắc khoa học cũng chịu thua nhỉ?"

Tôi rất cảm kích đối với việc người ta coi tôi là một người có uy tín về khoa học để trao đổi. Nhưng mỗi khi tôi trả lời đại loại là "Cái đó chẳng có gì đặc biệt lắm, khoa học đã giải thích được (hoặc khoa học đã có những mô hình lý thuyết như sau)...", thì lập tức đa số người hỏi ... cụt hứng.
