Với tôi, truyện” The Photograph” là truyện ngắn để lại cho tôi ấn tượng sâu sắc nhất.

Hình ảnh 2 cô gái vẫn ám ảnh trong tôi suốt vài ngày sau khi đọc xong truyện. 2 cô gái ở độ tuổi ngang nhau nhưng lại có 2 cuộc sống hoàn toàn đối lập. Một cô sinh ra ở Mỹ và chưa bao giờ đi du lịch ngoài nước Mỹ; 1 cô người châu Phi với thân hình bị cái đói hủy hoại 1 cách khủng khiếp. Just imagine a girl with thin cheeks, red eyes and her arms and legs are as thin as sticks . Cô gái đói ấy phải lết từng bước trên đất để giành giật thức ăn. Ở bên kia đại dương, một cô gái khác lại không chịu ăn vì mong muốn có được thân hình cò hương của siêu mẫu. Có 1 câu văn trong truyện làm tôi ấn tượng vô cùng là: “ Why does our world have people who starve, and people who decide to starve themselves?”
