Đào tạo bậc đại học: Kiến trúc sư công trình, Kiến trúc sư quy hoạch, Kỹ sư xây dựng dân dụng và công nghiệp, Kỹ sư công trình ngầm, Kỹ sư cấp thoát nước, Kỹ sư kỹ thuật hạ tầng, Kỹ sư kỹ thuật môi trường đô thị, Kỹ sư quản lý xây dựng đô thị, Cử nhân mỹ thuật công nghiệp. Trong thời gian tới, Nhà trường sẽ đào tạo Ký sư kinh tế xây dựng và đô thị, Kỹ sư vật liệu xây dựng và một số chuyên ngành khác.
Đào tạo bậc trên đại học: Thạc sĩ, Tiến sĩ các chuyên ngành Kiến trúc, Quy hoạch, Xây dựng, Kỹ thuật hạ tầng và môi trường đô thị, Quản lý đô thị, Thiết kế đô thị với di sản phát triển bền vững (bằng tiếng Pháp).
Đào tạo, bồi dưỡng nâng cao trình độ chuyên môn, nghiệp vụ, ngoại ngữ, tin học cho cán bộ quản lý, cán bộ khoa học kỹ thuật của các cơ quan, tổ chức, địa phương...
Thực hiện các đề tài nghiên cứu khoa học do Nhà nước, các ngành, các cơ quan, tổ chức, địa phương giao và các đề tài do cán bộ giảng dạy, cán bộ khoa học, sinh viên, học viên của Trường đăng ký.
Hợp tác với các trường đại học, các viện nghiên cứu, các cơ quan, tổ chức trong và ngoài nước, các tổ chức quốc tế về đào tạo, nghiên cứu khoa học và chuyển giao công nghệ.
Tổ chức triển khai việc áp dụng các kết quả trong đào tạo, nghiên cứu khoa học vào các công trình thực tế phục vụ xã hội dưới dạng các hợp đồng tư vấn thiết kế, tư vấn giám sát, xây dựng, đầu tư, dịch vụ khoa học, chuyển giao công nghệ…
Chăm lo, cải thiện, nâng cao đời sống vật chất, tinh thần cán bộ, viên chức, sinh viên của Trường.
