Lời đầu tiên nhà trường chúng tôi xin gửi đến quý Phụ huynh lời tri ân chân thành nhất bởi lẽ trong thời gian vừa qua, quý phụ huynh đã đặt niềm tin vào chất lượng giáo dục tại trường Quốc tế Singapore khi cho con em theo học tại trường.
Tháng 11/2014, Bộ Giáo dục – Đào tạo Việt Nam đã ban hành Nghị Định 73 và Thông Tư 34 với quy định: Tất cả học sinh là người Việt Nam đang theo học tại các trường Quốc tế, phải tham dự các tiết học Tiếng Việt , Lịch sử , Địa lý nhằm đảm bảo cho học sinh biết đọc – hiểu Tiếng Việt đồng thời biết được cội nguồn dân tộc Việt qua các bài học Lịch sử - Địa lý.
Do vậy, đầu term 3 năm học 2014-2015, nhà trường đã tổ chức các lớp học Tiếng Việt, Lịch sử - Địa lý cho học sinh Việt Nam sau giờ học chính khóa hàng ngày. Tuy nhiên, do thời gian học chính khóa trong ngày đã khá nhiều nay các em lại phải học thêm 1 tiết vào cuối mỗi ngày khiến thể trạng học sinh mệt mỏi, các em không còn tinh thần để tiếp thu bài học.
Vì vậy, trong năm học 2015-2016, nhà trường sẽ sắp xếp thời gian biểu hợp lý để học sinh Việt Nam được học các tiết Tiếng Việt, Lịch sử - Địa lý một cách nhẹ nhàng với kiến thức đơn giản dễ hiểu và gần gũi với cuộc sống xung quanh của các em.
Đồng thời để việc học Tiếng Việt, Lịch sử - Địa lý của học sinh được hiệu quả hơn, nhà trường sẽ tiến hành khảo sát trình độ Tiếng Việt (qua các kĩ năng: nghe , nói, đọc, viết) của các em trong tuần lễ thứ hai của năm học 2015-2016 để xếp lớp cho phù hợp.
Chúng tôi mong rằng: Việc sắp xếp thời gian biểu hợp lý cùng với chương trình học được xây dựng nhẹ nhàng , gần gũi với cuộc sống xung quanh sẽ giúp học sinh hứng thú hơn khi được học và được giao tiếp Tiếng Việt.
