- Theo quyết định số 35/1999/QĐTTg ngày 5-3-1999 ( Định hướng phát triển đô thị Việt Nam đến năm 2020 ) đối với khu đô thị, các khu công nghiệp, hệ thống thoát nước thải phải được xây dựng hoàn chỉnh và hiện đại bao gồm hệ thống cống thoát nước riêng, nước thải được tập trung đưa về các trạm xử lý nước thải tập trung hay trạm cục bộ.
