Để đẩy mạnh và tăng cường hợp tác trong thời gian tới, Bộ trưởng, Đỗ Văn Chiến mong muốn bà Đại sứ cùng các cộng sự, trên cơ sở chiến lược quốc gia Ai Len - Việt Nam và Bản ghi nhớ giữa Ủy ban Dân tộc với Cơ quan phát triển quốc tế Ai Len, tiếp tục đẩy mạnh, hỗ trợ, hợp tác với Ủy ban Dân tộc trên các lĩnh vực: Hỗ trợ tài chính bổ sung để xây dựng các dự án cơ sở hạ tầng tại các xã đặc biệt khó khăn thuộc Chương trình 135; hỗ trợ kỹ thuật cho Ủy ban Dân tộc trong việc hoạch định và quản lý các chính sách, chương trình dự án vùng đồng bào dân tộc thiểu số; hỗ trợ một số mô hình giảm nghèo tại cộng đồng và tăng khả năng ứng phó với thiên tai tại cộng đồng; tiếp tục trao đổi về khuôn khổ hợp tác chung trong lĩnh vực giảm nghèo và phát triển cho vùng dân tộc thiểu số Việt Nam giai đoạn 2016-2020.
