NHNN cũng đã thực hiện việc điều hành chính sách tỷ giá linh hoạt hơn nhằm ổn định nền kinh tế. Chỉ trong 6 tháng đầu năm 2008, NHNN đã có 3 lần điều chỉnh nới lỏng biên độ tỷ giá lên mức +/-2% từ ngày 27/6.
