Doanh ngiệp Tư nhân hoạt động trong hầu hết các ngành và lĩnh vực kinh tế. 7 ngành và 3 lĩnh vực này là các ngành và lĩnh vực tập trung nhiều nhất các doanh nghiệp tư nhân, nhất là SMEs, đang hoạt động, cũng như là các ngành mà doanh nghiệp tư nhân Việt Nam đang quan tâm phát triển trong những năm vừa qua.
Tiếp thu ý kiến qua Diễn đàn 2016, nhất là chỉ đạo của Chính phủ, diễn đàn lần sau sẽ tổng kết những gì làm được liên quan đến 10 chủ đề này đồng thời (1) tập trung vào 1-2 chủ điểm chuyên sâu cũng như có thể cơ cấu lại các chủ đề, chọn chủ đề để thảo luận sâu hơn, sau khi tiếp thu ý kiến của các doanh nghiệp.
