Theo Tòa Tổng giám mục, dự án trùng tu nhà thờ Đức Bà 135 tuổi sẽ được thực hiện trong tương lai với sự cố gắng giữ lại nét đẹp nguyên thủy của nhà thờ.
Việc trùng tu sẽ gồm 3 phần: mái ngói, nội thất và 2 tháp chuông. Công ty xây dựng Saigon sẽ đánh giá tình trạng hư hỏng, và lên kế hoạch sửa chữa cho phù hợp.
