Sau phẩu thuật tử cung toàn phần kèm phần phụ (PP) có thể dẫn đến mãn kinh (MK) sớm với những biểu hiện giống như mãn kinh tự nhiên. Tuy nhiên các biểu hiện của mãn kinh sau phẩu thuật tử cung lại đến đột ngột, khó chịu và nặng nề hơn so với MK tự nhiên do cơ thể thiếu sự thích nghi từ từ [36]
