Được biết, trường Đại học Nghệ thuật và Thiết kế Halle là một trường đại học có bề dày trong lĩnh vực đào tạo họa sĩ thiết kế của CHLB Đức. Trường được thành lập năm 1915, đào tạo hai lĩnh vực chính là: Nghệ thuật và Thiết kế với 12 chuyên ngành từ bậc cử nhân đến thạc sĩ. Năm 2013, trường Halle được chính phủ Đức cho phép đào tạo Tiến sĩ chuyên ngành Khoa học thiết kế. Ngôi trường này cũng có nhiều đóng góp trong việc tư vấn xây dựng chương trình và hỗ trợ đào tạo nhiều họa sĩ Mỹ thuật công nghiệp nổi tiếng tại Việt Nam.
