- Chuyên môn hóa theo cấp bậc hoạt động và chức năng, nhiệm vụ:

+ Theo chiều dọc: (i) Trụ sở chính chịu trách nhiệm chính về hoạch định chiến lược kinh doanh, xây dựng cơ chế tín dụng, quản lý hoạt động tín dụng tại chi nhánh, nâng thẩm quyền phán quyết tín dụng đối với trường hợp vượt thẩm quyền phán quyết của chi nhánh, giám sát tổng thể danh mục tín dụng của Ngân hàng, kiểm soát rủi ro theo ngành và lĩnh vực, kiểm tra tuân thủ cơ chế, phân loại nợ và lập dự phòng;

(ii) Chi nhánh trực tiếp quan hệ và cấp tín dụng đối với mọi đối tượng khách hàng, quản lý các danh mục tín dụng tại chi nhánh theo các quy định, cơ chế và thủ tục tín dụng hiện hành, kiểm soát, báo cáo hoạt động tín dụng, quản lý và thu hồi nợ xấu.

+ Theo chiều ngang: Các phòng, ban tín dụng được phân tổ theo chức năng, nhiệm vụ trong quy trình cấp tín dụng và phân đoạn thị trường theo loại hình khách hàng, bao gồm:
(i) phòng Chế độ tín dụng (chỉ tại Trụ sở chính);
(ii) phòng Khách hàng doanh nghiệp;
(iii) phòng Khách hàng cá nhân; (iv) phòng (tổ) Quản lý rủi ro; (v) phòng (tổ) Quản lý nợ có vấn đề; (vi) Ban Kiểm tra kiểm soát nội bộ.
