Khoảng 3 tháng trước đó bạn phải đăng kí những trường đại học bạn sẽ thi vào, mỗi trường ứng với một khối ngành bạn chọn, tối đa bạn chọn được 2 trường đại học và một trường cao đẳng. Điều này đồng nghĩa bạn sẽ cạnh tranh với những thí sinh đăng kí thi vào ngôi trường giống bạn, gọi là tỉ lệ chọi. Lượng thí sinh của một trường càng nhiều đồng nghĩa tỉ lệ chọi càng cao, xác xuất bạn trúng tuyển càng thấp. Do đó bạn cần phải thi đạt điểm cao hoặc cao hơn thì bạn mới có cơ hội an toàn. Trường đại học là môi trường tuyệt vời để học tập và phát triển bản thân. Tuy nhiên trường đại học chỉ dành cho học sinh có khả năng học tập tốt. Những người học kém muốn vào đại học là không thể. Mặc dù vậy, ở Việt Nam vẫn tồn tại những trường đại học với điểm chuẩn rất thấp. Nhiều người học yếu vẫn mang danh sinh viên đại học bình thường. Thật không thể tin nổi.
