Qua các khảo sát thực địa tại khu vực dự án cho thấy: xung quanh khu vực dự án là khu dân cư đông đúc, hệ sinh vật khu vực nghèo nàn, không có loài động vật, thực vật đặc hữu cần bảo vệ. Hệ thực vật chủ yếu là do loài vi sinh vật, giun, cây cỏ dại... Như vậy, có thể nói tính nhạy cảm về sự thay đổi các thành phần môi trường tại khu vực được đánh giá ở mức độ không cao. Tuy nhiên, sự thay đổi mang tính tức thời tại thời điểm nào đó vẫn ít nhiều gây ra những tác động xấu đến môi trường khu vực do vậy vấn đề kiểm soát ô nhiễm môi trường tại khu vực dự án cần phải được quan tâm trong giai đoạn triển khai và giai đoạn hoạt động của dự án.
