Tháng 12 này, Đoàn Việt Nam lên đường góp mặt tại sự kiện thể thao người khuyết tật lớn nhất Đông Nam Á được tổ chức tại Singapore. John là một trong những VĐV xuất sắc được kỳ vọng đem về nhiều Huy chương cho đoàn Việt Nam trong sự kiện này. Theo phương châm sống: “Thành tích là kết quả của sự tập luyện" John đã đang và luôn tập luyện luyện không ngừng nghỉ. Tại sự kiện này, anh tự đặt cho mình mục tiêu phá vỡ kỷ lục ASEAN Para‐games hạng thương tật F56.
