Công bố kết thúc đàm phán FTA Việt Nam – EU

Theo thông báo từ văn phòng Liên minh châu Âu tại Hà Nội, Lễ công bố và buổi gặp gỡ báo chí sẽ được chủ trì bởi Bộ trưởng Bộ Công Thương Việt Nam Vũ Huy Hoàng và Đại sứ - Trưởng phái đoàn EU, Tiến sĩ Franz Jessen.
Lễ công bố được tổ chức sau những cuộc điện đàm của lãnh đạo Việt Nam và Cao ủy thương mại EU cuối tuần qua.
Những cam kết trong FTA Việt Nam – EU bao gồm hàng loạt các lĩnh vực như thương mại hàng hóa, thương mại dịch vụ, đầu tư, sở hữu trí tuệ, cạnh tranh, doanh nghiệp nhà nước.
Theo nghiên cứu của Dự án Hỗ trợ Thương mại Đa biên (Mutrap), FTA Việt Nam – EU sẽ đem lại những lợi ích bền vững cho cả hai bên, trong đó phần lợi ích của Việt Nam là trội hơn.
Chỉ riêng việc cắt giảm thuế quan sẽ làm tăng xuất khẩu của Việt Nam sang EU lên khoảng 30% đến 40%, cao hơn mức tăng xuất khẩu trong trường hợp không có Hiệp định. Các ngành có khả năng hưởng lợi nhiều nhất từ FTA bao gồm dệt may, giày dép, chế biến thực phẩm. Khu vực dịch vụ theo kỳ vọng cũng mở rộng đáng kể nhờ FTA, và có thể góp phần làm tăng hiệu suất cho toàn bộ nền kinh tế.
