Giai đoạn (2005-2010), Việt Nam mỗi năm có khoảng 5.000 doanh nghiệp tuyên bố giải thể, ngưng hoạt động. Tuy nhiên, tại một cuộc hội thảo mới đây, Phòng Thương mại và Công nghiệp Việt Nam (VCCI) cho biết, từ năm 2011 đến nay, bình quân có tới hơn 50.000 doanh nghiệp giải thể và ngưng hoạt động. Chỉ trong một thời gian ngắn, số lượng các doanh nghiệp ngưng hoạt động cao gấp 10 lần so với những năm về trước. Những vấn đề trên càng lúc càng gây khó khăn hơn nữa cho người lao động, và đặc biệt là những sinh viên mới ra trường.
