Tôi sinh ra và lớn lên tại một miền quê của tỉnh Hà Tĩnh. Bóng đá với tôi đã là sở thích là môn thể thao vua kể từ khi tôi cùng chúng bạn cùng nhau chơi bóng ngay ở sân bóng làng. Mới đầu cũng chỉ là một lũ trẻ quần mình với trái bóng sau những giờ học ở trường rồi khi lớn hơn là những trận cầu tại những giải đấu phong trào. Thế rồi niềm đam mê bóng đá cứ lớn dần trong tôi.Không chỉ là những giờ phút thi đấu trên sân mà còn là sở thích theo dõi các trận đấu trên sóng truyền hình. Từ những trận cầu nảy lửa của đội tuyển Việt Nam tại Seagame, Tiger cup rồi đến giải vô địch Quốc gia hay xa hơn nữa là những trận cầu tại giải bóng đá ngoại hạng Anh, EURO hay WORLD CUP. Và cũng chẳng biết từ bao giờ tôi trở thành một fan nhiệt thành của nền bóng đá xứ sở sương mù của Những chú quỷ đỏ thành Manchester và tôi cũng yêu luôn đội tuyển tam sư hùng mạnh. Lí do mà một cậu bé mới 7,8 tuổi như tôi yêu thích bóng đá Anh hồi đó đơn giản chỉ là tôi hâm mộ chàng tiền vệ hào hoa David Beckham.
