Phần còn lại của nhu cầu dùng nước trong năm 2000 sẽ được bổ sung bằng các giếng ngầm Hóc Môn hay từ nguồn nước sông Sài Gòn
Chi phí dư trù: Chi phí của các chương trình phát triển dự kiến nhằm cấp nước cần thiết chu khu vực đô thị Sài Gòn khoảng 88.162.000 USD (Một số phần của chương trình phát triển này đã được triển khai từ năm 1973 rồi). Chương trình phát triển này chỉ giới hạn trong việc sản xuất nước, xử lý và vận chuyển đến đầu mạng lưới mà thôi, nó không bao gồm các tiện nghi cấp nước bổ sung cho hệ thống phân phối để phục vụ tốt cho khách hàng.
