9. Công tác biên giới lãnh thổ quốc gia
9.1. Là cơ quan thường trực của Ủy ban nhân dân tỉnh về công tác biên giới lãnh thổ quốc gia; giúp Ủy ban nhân dân tỉnh đánh giá tình hình quản lý công tác biên giới, đề xuất ý kiến và các biện pháp quản lý thích hợp; tham gia xây dựng phương án giải quyết vấn đề biên giới với các nước liên quan;
9.2. Chủ trì, phối hợp với các cơ quan hữu quan xây dựng phương án, kế hoạch và tổ chức khảo sát đơn phương, song phương theo sự phân công của Ủy ban nhân dân tỉnh; phối hợp với các cơ quan liên quan thực hiện công tác phân giới, cắm mốc theo yêu cầu của Ban Chỉ đạo phân giới cắm mốc của tỉnh;
9.3. Theo dõi, tổng hợp và báo cáo Ủy ban nhân dân tỉnh và Bộ Ngoại giao tình hình thực hiện các điều ước quốc tế về biên giới quốc gia, quy chế quản lý biên giới trên đất liền và các tranh chấp nảy sinh trên đất liền và trên biển thuộc địa bàn tỉnh;
9.4. Tổ chức các lớp tập huấn, tuyên truyền pháp luật, chủ trương, chính sách của Đảng và Nhà nước về biên giới lãnh thổ quốc gia; hướng dẫn, kiểm tra và quản lý các văn bản, tài liệu, bản đồ và hồ sơ về biên giới thuộc phạm vị quản lý của tỉnh.
