1.1.1. Khái niệm, đặc điểm của lao động nữ nhập cư
Hiện nay chưa có một định nghĩa thống nhất về “nhập cư” để có thể áp dụng một cách phổ biến trên toàn cầu. Nội dung của khái niệm này thường được các quốc gia điều chỉnh cho phù hợp với các mục đích chính trị, kinh tế của mình.
Dưới góc độ địa lý, nhập cư là sự chuyển đến của một người hoặc một nhóm người từ một đơn vị địa lý khác, vượt qua biên giới hành chính, chính trị với mục đích cư trú lâu dài hoặc tạm thời. Nhập cư có thể diễn ra giữa nước này với nước khác, hoặc giữa vùng này với vùng khác trong cùng một nước.
