Xã hội ngày nay càng ngày phát triển, công nghệ thông tin cũng đã rất phổ biến trên toàn cầu. Nhưng chưa hẳn việc này là hoàn toàn có ích.

Bởi vì công nghệ thông tin phát triển , các sản phẩm như máy tính, smartphone, Ipad,.. cũng được sử sụng nhiều .Các thanh thiếu niên đã phụ thuộc vào máy tính quá nhiều. Họ đã dành hết mọi thời gian rảnh để chơi game trên máy tính và điều đó có thể gây nhiều tác hại như cận thị. Đa số trẻ em ngày nay đều bị cận thị bởi vì ngồi quá lâu trước máy tính. Độ sáng của máy tính và bức xạ thoát ra có thể gây mờ mắt và khô da. Sử dụng máy tính quá nhiều cũng thể gây nguy cơ béo phì và ảnh hưởng tới xương vì trẻ em không ra ngoài vận động thì thức ăn sẽ tích tụ gây thừa cân và xương sẽ bị ảnh hưởng gây ra các bệnh về cột sống. Ngoài ra chơi máy tính quá nhiều có thể bị hạn chế phát triển tư duy, chơi games sẽ khiển trẻ em tập trung suy nghĩ vào game, không để ý xung quanh làm giảm khả năng sáng tạo. Nếu mọi thời gian rảnh đều chơi máy tính sẽ làm ít đi sự tiếp xúc vưới mọi người, làm hạn chế khả năng giao tiếp, sẽ có tác hại lớnđối với tương lai của trẻ
