Khối module sim 908 gồm 2 phần chính:
Phần SMS: có nhiệm vụ giao tiếp và nhận lệnh từ điện thoại của người dùng qua công nghệ GSM. Sau đó chuyển lệnh nhận được cho VDK thông qua cổng giao tiếp nối tiếp USART. Sau khi nhận lệnh từ VDK nó gửi lệnh lại cho người dùng thông qua tin nhắn SMS.
Phần GPS: có nhiệm vụ xác định tọa độ của thiết bị trong hệ thống định vị GPS toàn cầu. Gửi trả giá trị về cho VDK khi có lệnh yêu cầu.
