The study included 48,000 people in the UK who had to answer questions about the dance routines and their walk last month. All participants 40 years and older with no history of heart disease and has agreed to participate with the National Death Registry organizations
After mean follow-up of nearly 10 years, the researchers found that moderate-intensity dance have been associated with reduced risk of cardiovascular death. This benefit is somewhat better than walking, and the effects more pronounced in women than men.
These findings do not prove that the dance would lead to lower mortality rates. To study the relationship between dance and mortality due to different diseases require much further study.
