Các chỉ số tài chính được thu thập và tính toán từ các báo cáo tài chính đã được kiểm toán gồm ROA (Araset al, 2010; Crisóstomoet al, 2011), Tobin’q (Brown, 2006) và biến động lợi nhuận cổ phiếu (stock returns deviation - SRD) – tức độ lệch chuẩn suất sinh lợi ngày được năm hóa (annualize) - theo cách tiếp cận của Cheung et al (2010), Dragomir (2010), Saleh và cộng sự (2011), Zhang và Gu (2012), Ghelli (2013), Li và cộng sự (2013), Karagiorgos (2010), Hussainey và Walker (2009).
