Kĩ năng sống (KNS) vừa mang tính cá nhân vừa mang tính xã hội, nó cần thiết đối với thanh thiếu niên để họ có thể ứng phó một cách tự tin, tự chủ và hoàn thiện hành vi của bản thân trong giao tiếp, giải quyết các vấn đề của cuộc sống với mọi người xung quanh mang lại cho mỗi cá nhân cuộc sống thoải mái, lành mạnh về thể chất, tinh thần và các mối quan hệ xã hội. Giáo dục KNS là một việc làm cần thiết nhằm nâng cao khả năng ứng phó của sinh viên trong cuộc sống. Câu lạc bộ KNS là một trong những hình thức tổ chức nâng cao KNS một cách hiệu quả. Với hình thức tổ chức hoạt động này, giáo viên cũng có thể thực hiện nhiều hình thức sinh hoạt và vận dụng các phương pháp giáo dục đa dạng. Thực nghiệm tiến hành với hình thức tổ chức này bước đầu đã thu được những kết quả nhất định.
