Tóm lại, để xây dựng một CTĐT có hiệu quả, các trường cần xuất phát từ cách tiếp cận hiện đại – đào tạo theo nhu cầu của người sử dụng lao động. Khi đó, chuẩn đầu ra sẽ là mục tiêu chính để đào tạo, và CTĐT được xây dựng nhằm thực hiện mục tiêu đó.
