NHỮNG “BÀN THẮNG” ĐÁNG GHI NHẬN CỦA FFAV
Dự án “Bóng đá Cộng đồng tại Việt Nam” được LĐBĐ Na Uy (NFF) khởi xướng sau cuộc họp đầu tiên với LĐBĐ Việt Nam (VFF) năm 1997. Dưới sự phối hợp của NFF, VFF, Bộ Giáo dục & Đào tạo, Sở VH-TT&DL, UBND Thừa Thiên - Huế và các đơn vị khác, dự án đã triển khai từ năm 2001. Tinh thần hành động của FFAV là đề cao bóng đá cao thượng, lồng ghép kỹ năng sống, chống kỳ thị, phân biệt đối xử với trẻ em bị thiệt thòi và tạo môi trường an toàn, thân thiện cho mọi trẻ em.

Từ những ngày đầu, dù gặp rất nhiều khó khăn, nhưng các thành viên và tình nguyện viên của dự án đã vượt qua mọi trở ngại để đem lại niềm vui cho hàng chục ngàn trẻ em tại Thừa Thiên Huế và một số nơi khác. Đến nay, dự án đã phát triển khắp 9 huyện, thành phố và thị xã của Thừa Thiên Huế và quận Đồ Sơn (Hải Phòng) với sự tham gia của 16.166 trẻ em tại 172 CLB bóng đá, nhất là đối với những trẻ em thiệt thòi, khuyết tật và các em nữ.
