Tỷ lệ lạm phát tăng cao nhất là vào năm 1979 khoảng 16% , thấp nhất vào năm 1998 khoảng 1,5%. Còn lãi suất tín phiếu kho bạc cao nhất vào năm 1979 khoảng 13,9%, thấp nhất vào năm 2004 khoảng 1%. Vào năm 1973 tỷ lệ lạm phát (khoảng 7,2% )cao hơn so với lãi suất tín phiếu kho bạc (khoảng 6%) nhưng sau đó chính phủ đã cho tăng lãi suất để giảm tỷ lệ lạm phát xuống. Vào năm 1979 tỷ lệ lạm phát đột ngột tăng cao và cao hơn lãi suất tín phiếu kho bạc làm cho tình hình kinh tế không ổn định có nhiều chuyển biến xảy ra. Từ năm 1989 đến năm 2001 tăng giảm ổn định hơn các năm trước đó. Vào năm 2002 đến năm 2004 tỷ lệ lạm phat lại tăng cao hơn lãi suất nhưng đến năm 2006 lãi suất đã tăng lại bình thường.
