Quảng Yên được biết đến là một địa phương có nhiều tiềm năng du lịch với những cảnh quan thiên nhiên tươi đẹp; đa dạng những phong tục tập quán truyền thống của người Việt vùng đồng bằng Bắc bộ với nhiều lễ hội và các làng nghề truyền thống độc đáo. Nơi đây còn có nhiều loài thuỷ hải sản đặc trưng, tạo nên nguồn ẩm thực đa dạng. Những nét đặc sắc về lịch sử - văn hóa, mảnh đất và con người ấy đã được Quảng Yên khai thác và phát triển loại hình du lịch sinh thái làng quê.

Theo giới thiệu của Phòng Văn hóa - Thông tin, TX Quảng Yên chúng tôi đến phường Phong Cốc, một trong những điểm đến đặc sắc trong tuyến du lịch làng quê Quảng Yên. Chỉ cho chúng tôi dòng sông từ khu vực cầu Miếu đến Bến sông cửa đình Cốc, ông Nguyễn Huy Bảo, cán bộ văn hóa phường Phong Cốc cho biết: Đến với Phong Cốc, khách du lịch sẽ được đi thuyền nan trên dòng sông này trong thời gian 45 phút. Ngồi trên thuyền, du khách sẽ được chiêm ngưỡng phong cảnh làng mạc, ruộng đồng, khám phá sinh hoạt của người dân trên đảo Hà Nam ở hai bên sông. Cùng với đó, du khách còn được tham quan Đình Cốc, ngôi đình cổ lớn nhất Việt Nam. Tại đây, chúng tôi sẽ giới thiệu lịch sử xây dựng và giá trị nghệ thuật kiến trúc, điêu khắc độc đáo của kiến trúc đình làng Việt Nam thế kỷ XVIII đến du khách. Thêm nữa, họ còn được nghe các nghệ nhân địa phương hát đúm, hò biển, trình diễn Ba giá đồng... Đặc biệt, du khách còn giao lưu với người dân xung quanh đình, thưởng thức bánh gio, một loại bánh đặc sản quê hương của người dân đảo Hà Nam. Cũng trong tuyến du lịch sinh thái làng quê Quảng Yên, các du khách còn được ghé qua phường Nam Hòa, Phong Hải để tham quan các gia đình làm nghề truyền thống đan lờ, đó, làm thuyền nan, thuyền gỗ...

Đến nay, Quảng Yên đã đưa vào khai thác 3 tuyến và 11 điểm du lịch để kết nối thành nhiều tour phục vụ các đối tượng khách, đặc biệt là khách ở thị trường khách châu Âu đến Quảng Ninh bằng tàu biển và khách du lịch nội địa. Từ khi đưa sản phẩm du lịch này vào khai thác (tháng 10-2013) đến nay, Quảng Yên đã đón 120 đoàn khách quốc tế với tổng số 1.586 lượt khách... Sản phẩm du lịch sinh thái làng quê Quảng Yên đã để lại nhiều ấn tượng trong mỗi du khách và sự quan tâm của các công ty lữ hành. Bà Vũ Thị Hồng Quyên, Giám đốc Chi nhánh Saigontourist Quảng Ninh, chia sẻ: Quảng Yên là điểm đến du lịch tiềm năng, hội tụ tinh hoa văn hóa, ẩm thực, cảnh quan thiên nhiên đặc sắc. Khi được trực tiếp đi thuyền nan tham quan rừng ngập mặn tại đảo Hà Nam, được thưởng thức ẩm thực của địa phương, tôi có ấn tượng rất mạnh mẽ. Công ty quyết tâm khai thác, giới thiệu tiềm năng vẻ đẹp của Quảng Yên tới du khách. Khi địa phương có đầy đủ điều kiện cơ sở hạ tầng vật chất, phía công ty sẽ tiếp tục giới thiệu nhiều dòng khách tới địa phương. Để thu hút khách du lịch tới tham quan, trải nghiệm nhiều hơn, thiết nghĩ, thị xã cần chú trọng phát triển hệ thống hạ tầng du lịch phù hợp; có lộ trình du lịch trải nghiệm tham quan rừng ngập mặn trong vòng 45 phút bằng thuyền nan, phát triển và giữ gìn tốt cảnh quan, cũng như hệ động thực vật ở các rừng ngập mặn tại các khu vực này. Đồng thời, phát triển không gian mở để du khách thưởng thức các nét văn hóa đặc trưng của địa phương...

Những kết quả bước đầu đáng ghi nhận trong phát triển du lịch thời gian qua chính là nhờ sự quan tâm, chỉ đạo của tỉnh, sự vào cuộc tích cực của lãnh đạo thị xã và chính quyền địa phương ở các điểm tham quan du lịch, đồng thời có sự tham gia của cộng đồng dân cư... Anh Ngô Đình Dũng, Phó Trưởng Phòng VHTT TX Quảng Yên cho biết: Những năm qua, UBND thị xã đã cấp kinh phí đầu tư một số tuyến điểm tham quan du lịch như: Hỗ trợ kinh phí trang bị thuyền nan, cải tạo nâng cấp bến thủy đón trả khách khu vực đình Cốc... Bên cạnh đó, thị xã đã ban hành nhiều cơ chế, chính sách hỗ trợ, định hướng cho các hộ gia đình ở các làng nghề tham gia hoạt động du lịch, làm các sản phẩm lưu niệm bán cho du khách và tạo điều kiện cho các làng nghề mở rộng sản xuất, gắn sản xuất với phát triển du lịch... Để nâng cao nhận thức, văn hóa ứng xử của người dân khi làm du lịch, từ trước khi đón đoàn khách quốc tế đầu tiên, thị xã đã phối hợp với Sở Văn hóa-Thể thao và Du lịch mở lớp tập huấn du lịch cộng đồng cho nhiều người dân ở các điểm tham quan. Bên cạnh đó, TX Quảng Yên cũng đã phối hợp và liên kết với Công ty TNHH Một thành viên dịch vụ lữ hành Saigontourist quảng bá, giới thiệu các sản phẩm du lịch: “Làng quê Quảng Yên” và “Dấu ấn Bạch Đằng Giang” trên các hãng tàu biển quốc tế...

Thời gian tới, địa phương tiếp tục triển khai nhiều giải pháp đồng bộ, hiệu quả để thúc đẩy phát triển du lịch Quảng Yên nói chung, loại hình du lịch sinh thái làng quê nói riêng.
