Do đó, đề tài được thực hiện nhằm mục đích chính là đánh giá hiện trạng môi trường tại Khu chế xuất (KCX) Linh Trung 1, thông qua các số liệu môi trường cũng như công tác quản lý, từ đó đánh giá được mức độ hiệu quả cũng như những tồn tại trong công tác quản lý môi trường tại đây. Nội dung đánh giá được tổng hợp theo điểm mạnh, điểm yếu, cơ hội và thách thức dựa vào phương pháp phân tích SWOT. Dựa vào những tồn tại và ưu thế hiện có của KCX Linh Trung 1, sinh viên tiến hành xây dựng và đề xuất các giải pháp nhằm nâng cao hiệu quả quản lý môi trường tại nơi đây. Giải pháp được đề xuất thành 2 nhóm: Giải pháp hành chính và giải pháp kỹ thuật. Các giải pháp đó là:
