Đối với thuốc lá điếu, xì gà, người nhập cảnh chỉ được mang theo đúng định mức miễn thuế; nếu mang vượt định mức miễn thuế thì phần vượt phải được tạm gửi tại kho của Hải quan cửa khẩu và nhận lại trong thời hạn quy định tại Khoản 5 Điều 59 Nghị định số 08/2015/NĐ-CP ngày 21 tháng 01 năm 2015 của Chính phủ quy định chi tiết và biện pháp thi hành Luật Hải quan về thủ tục hải quan, kiểm tra, giám sát, kiểm soát hải quan.
