Sáng ngày 20/11/2011, Trường Trung học phổ thông (THPT) Lý Nhân đã long trọng tổ chức lễ kỷ niệm 50 ngày Thành lập (1961 - 2011), đón nhận Huân chương Lao động hạng Nhất và kỷ niệm ngày Nhà giáo Việt Nam 20 - 11.
Về dự buổi lễ có đồng chí Nguyễn Thị Doan, Ủy viên Trung ương Đảng, Phó Chủ tịch nước; đồng chí Nguyễn Vinh Hiển, Thứ trưởng Bộ Giáo dục và Đào tạo; đồng chí Trần Xuân Lộc, Bí thư Tỉnh ủy, Chủ tịch HĐND tỉnh Hà Nam; đồng chí Mai Tiến Dũng, Ủy viên Trung ương Đảng, Phó Bí thư Tỉnh ủy, Chủ tịch UBND tỉnh Hà Nam; đồng chí Trương Minh Hiến, Tỉnh ủy viên, Bí thư Huyện ủy, Chủ tịch HĐND huyện Lý Nhân; các đồng chí nguyên là hiệu trưởng nhà trường qua các thời kỳ cùng đông đảo các thế hệ giáo viên, học sinh từng học tập và công tác tại trường...
Trường THPT Lý Nhân được thành lập năm 1961. Trải qua 50 năm xây dựng và trưởng thành, Trường THPT Lý Nhân đã khẳng định vị thế của mình trong Phong trào thi đua “Hai tốt”. Từ khi thành lập đến nay, Trường THPT Lý Nhân có 23 nghìn học sinh tốt nghiệp ra trường, nhiều người đã trưởng thành là những cán bộ quản lý giỏi trên các lĩnh vực chính trị, quân sự, là giáo sư, phó giáo sư, tiến sỹ, nhà văn, nhà kinh tế giỏi… Hiện nay, trường có 36 lớp học với 1622 học sinh, tỷ lệ học sinh thi tốt nghiệp đạt 100% trong đó tỷ lệ học sinh khá, giỏi cao hơn so với bình quân của tỉnh; hàng năm trường có 65% - 70% học sinh trúng tuyển vào các trường đại học và cao đẳng. Chất lượng giáo dục toàn diện luôn được duy trì giữ vững. Trường luôn triển khai thực hiện có hiệu quả các cuộc vận động và phong trào thi đua do ngành Giáo dục và Đào tạo phát động. Nhà trường đã vinh dự được chủ tịch nước tặng Huân chương Lao động hạng Ba (1997), hạng Nhì (2003) và năm 2007 được công nhận là trường chuẩn quốc gia; 01 nhà giáo được tặng danh hiệu Nhà giáo Ưu tú; 01 nhà giáo được tặng Huân chương Lao động hạng Ba

Phát biểu tại lễ kỷ niệm, đồng chí Nguyễn Vinh Hiển và đồng chí Mai Tiến Dũng đã ghi nhận và biểu dương những thành tích thầy và trò Trường THPT Lý Nhân đạt được trong 50 năm qua. Các đồng chí đề nghị thầy và trò Trường THPT Lý Nhân cần tiếp tục phát huy truyền thống hiếu học của quê hương Hai tốt, khắc phục mọi khó khăn, phấn đấu thực hiện thắng lợi nhiệm vụ năm học 2011 - 2012; tiếp tục thực hiện “Học tập và làm theo tấm gương đạo đức Hồ Chí Minh” có hiệu quả ; nâng cao chất lượng giáo dục và đẩy mạnh xã hội hóa giáo dục, thường xuyên duy trì mối quan hệ giữa nhà trường và gia đình. Các thầy, cô giáo nâng cao ý thức trách nhiệm, tinh thần tự giác trong mọi hoạt động, tự bồi dưỡng để nâng cao trình độ, chuyên môn nghiệp vụ; đổi mới phương pháp dậy học và sử dụng có hiệu quả thiết bị đồ dùng dậy học. Các em học sinh tích cực hưởng ứng Phong trào thi đua “Xây dựng trường học thân thiện, học sinh tích cực”, cần tu dưỡng đạo đức, tự rèn luyện kỹ năng sống cho bản thân đáp ứng ngày càng tốt hơn công cuộc công nghiệp hóa, hiện đại hóa đất nước.

Tại lễ kỷ niệm, Phó Chủ tịch nước Nguyễn Thị Doan thay mặt chủ tịch nước trao tặng Huân chương Lao động hạng Nhất cho Trường THPT Lý Nhân; Phó Chủ tịch nước Nguyễn Thị Doan đã được vinh danh là học sinh tiêu biểu xuất sắc của trường, Nguyên Hiệu trưởng Trường THPT Lý Nhân Đào Như Văn được phong tặng Nhà giáo Nhân dân. Ngoài ra, Phó Chủ tịch nước Nguyễn Thị Doan đã tặng 50 suất quà cho học sinh nghèo và cùng các đại biểu trồng cây lưu niệm tại trường.
