Phương pháp quan sát được thực hiện ngay tại khu vực Bach Dang sidewalk, bên cạnh khu vực chợ Thủ Dầu Một. Việc quan sát lần đầu tiên những người bán trái cây trên thuyền, những hoạt động của họ trên khu vực vỉa hè, việc họ vận chuyển cũng như tập trung trái cây tại khu vực vỉa hè được quan sát vào buổi sáng từ 6am-8am và buổi chiều từ 4pm-6pm vào các ngày trong tuần và cả ngày cuối tuần (Thứ năm, thứ sáu và chủ nhật).
