Vào Lúc 9:00 ngày 31.10.2016, trong quá trình thực hiện kiểm tra ngoại quan khai thác hàng trên contairner 51C-59629 OPS HAN đã phát hiện một số pallet hàng hóa trên cont trong tình trạng bị ướt ở phần dưới của chân pallet và sàn cont trong khu vực tiếp nối giữa khoang 1 & 2 bên phải có dấu hiệu nước đọng nhiều nước. Qua kiểm tra hàng hóa xác định có 02 kiện hàng Huhtamaki (VNHAN10160002697) nằm ở vị trí dưới cùng pallet tại tầng 1 khoang 2 tiếp giáp cột phân cách khoang 1 bị nước ngấm vào từ phía dưới sàn trở lên.
Xác định nguyên nhân nước xâm nhập vào thùng cont là tại phần dưới chân cột đứng giữa khoang 1 & 2 bị hở, và trong điều kiện thời tiết mưa nhiều trên diện rộng và trong thời gian dài tại khu vực miền Trung và miền Bắc, trong quá trình xe chạy từ Nam ra Bắc có rất nhiều đoạn đường bị ngập nước, trrong quá trình xe chạy qua có hiện tượng hắt nước lên và theo khe hở xâm nhập vào thùng cont gây ngấm nước từ phần dưới sàn trở lên,
