Về sản xuất và thương mại hóa chip, có thể kể đến việc đã thiết kế thành công nhiều chip và đang được ứng dụng như: vi mạch RFID Tag và NFC Tag được ứng dụng cho một số sản phẩm thương mại của Samsung, chip sinh học ứng dụng để chế tạo nhiều loại cảm biến… Đào tạo nguồn nhân lực cũng có kết quả tốt, nhiều mô hình đào tạo nhằm phát triển nguồn nhân lực được đưa ra như mô hình Design House. Nhiều trường đại học đã mở các khóa đào tạo về kỹ sư, thạc sỹ, tiến sỹ theo hướng thiết kế vi mạch với chất lượng ngày càng cao. Song song đó, do chính sách thuận lợi của Chính phủ nên đã thu hút được những công ty vi điện tử lớn nhất thế giới tới đầu tư như Intel, Esilicon, Nidec, Renesas …
