Với sự phát triển nhanh chóng của các Knowledge Base như DBpedia [11], YAGO [12], Freebase [13] mang lại nhiều giá trị cho người sử dụng. Qua thời gian, nhu cầu truy vấn thông tin của người sử dụng đòi hỏi ngày càng cao. Trong đó, nhu cầu liên kết các Knowledge Base để trả lời các câu hỏi ngôn ngữ tự nhiên của người dùng là một thách thức mới đặt ra. Từ năm 2004 đến nay, tổ chức 3WC [14] đã đề xuất mô hình RDF [15] với ngôn ngữ truy vấn SPARQL [16] là các chuẩn cho sematic web và liên tục được cập nhật các chuẩn và mô hình cho sematic web. Dựa trên nền tảng của 3WC [14] hướng tới phục vụ cho các sematic web, các Knowledge Base phổ biến đã tiến hành thay đổi cấu trúc phù hợp với mô hình RDF [15]. Việc thay đổi cấu trúc theo mô hình RDF [15] của Knowledge Base tạo ra cơ hội để giải quyết thách thức mới.
