Chùa Hội Khánh (Thủ Dầu Một) là một công trình tôn giáo lâu đời và lớn nhất tỉnh Bình Dương, nằm dưới chân đồi rợp bóng mát của hàng Dầu cổ thụ hàng trăm năm tuổi. Nét nổi bật của ngôi cổ tự này là giá trị phong phú về mặt lịch sử, văn hoá, nghệ thuật kiến trúc, và đặc biệt phần lớn những di vật, cổ vật hàng mấy trăm năm trước vẫn được bảo tồn lưu giữ cho đến ngày nay. Chùa cổ Hội Khánh còn được xem là tiêu biểu của các ngôi chùa cổ ở Bình Dương.

Chùa được khởi dựng vào năm 1741. Năm 1861, chùa đã bị chiến tranh thiêu hủy. Năm 1868, chùa được xây dựng lại với quy mô hiện nay, tổng diện tích Chùa Hội Khánh là khoảng 1.211m2
Năm 1993, Chùa Hội Khánh đã được công nhận di tích lịch sử - văn hóa cấp quốc gia. Tháng 5/2013, tổ chức kỷ lục Châu Á đã chính thức xác lập tượng Phật Nằm tại chùa là “Tượng Phật nhập Niết bàn trên mái chùa dài nhất Châu Á”.
Kiến trúc chùa gồm 5 hạng mục chính: tiền điện, chính điện, hậu tổ (nơi thờ tổ), giảng đường và hành lang Đông - Tây. Chính điện và giảng đường được bố trí theo kiểu “sấp đội”, nối liền nhau theo thức “trùng thềm điệp ốc”, một dạng thức kiến trúc phổ biến đối với đình, chùa ở xứ Đàng Trong bấy giờ.
Trong khuôn viên Chùa Hội Khánh có 4 kiến trúc mang tên 4 thánh tích gắn với Đức Phật, gồm vườn Lâm Tỳ Ni (nơi Đức Phật đản sinh); Bồ Đề đạo tràng (nơi Đức Phật thành đạo), vườn Lộc Uyển (nơi Đức Phật giảng kinh Chuyển pháp luân) và Câu Thi Na (nơi Đức Phật nhập niết bàn).

Xung quanh sân chùa là 9 ngôi tháp của 9 vị trụ trì đã viên tịch, được xây dựng công phu. Phía bên trái Chùa Hội Khánh còn có ngọn tháp 7 tầng, được phục dựng gần đây, tầng dưới của tháp là nơi trưng bày các văn hóa phẩm của chùa, như băng đĩa, tượng Phật kỷ niệm, chuông mõ…

Nội thất kiến trúc, tranh, tượng, đồ thờ tự trong Chùa Hội Khánh đều được điêu khắc, chạm trổ rất tinh vi, với những đề tài như tứ linh, cửu long, dây nho, lá lấp, hoa phù dung... Tuy đã được trùng tu nhiều lần nhưng về cơ bản đây là ngôi chùa hiếm hoi vẫn còn giữ được phần lớn kiến trúc ban đầu.

Ngoài ra, Phật đài cao 22m được xây dựng ở khu đất phía trước Chùa Hội Khánh. Tầng trệt là dãy nhà dài 64m, rộng 23m dùng làm trường Phật học, thư viện... Tầng trên tôn trí đại tượng đức Bổn sư Thích Ca nhập Niết bàn cao 12m, dài 52m. Đây là một công trình mỹ thuật đáng tự hào của Phật giáo Bình Dương.
Trong Chùa Hội Khánh còn giữ được bộ mộc bản in kinh khắc năm 1885, được xem là bộ mộc bản có niên đại sớm nhất ở Thủ Dầu Một, Bình Dương. Ngoài ra, nơi đây còn lưu giữ được một số bộ kinh Phật, như kinh A Di đà, Hồng danh, Vu lan, Bát dương, Phổ môn - những bộ kinh được ấn tống cho các chùa Nam Bộ khá sớm.

Chùa Hội Khánh có gần 100 pho tượng gỗ, mang giá trị tạo hình rất cao. Đa phần, các tượng trong chùa đều có niên đại cụ thể, có nguồn gốc rõ ràng, do chính tay những người thợ, nghệ nhân Thủ Dầu Một, Bình Dương thực hiện. Qua đây, có thể thấy được phần nào truyền thống điêu khắc của vùng đất này trong quá trình mở cõi.
