Thông thường, NSDLĐ không khuyến khích nghỉ không lương. Nếu NLĐ đề nghị được nghỉ không lương trong những trường hợp ngoại lệ, thì phải điền đầy đủ đơn xin nghỉ và nộp cho Tổng giám đốc hoặc Quản lý trực tiếp của mình và Phòng Nhân sự để được chấp thuận. NLĐ chỉ được phép đề nghị nghỉ không lương khi đã sử dụng hết số ngày nghỉ hàng năm. Thời gian nghỉ không lương tối đa không được quá ba mươi (30) ngày/năm.
