TT-Bộ GTVT vừa có văn bản kiến nghị Thủ tướng cho phép tách đoạn Biên Hòa-Phú Mỹ nối quốc lộ 51 thành dự án độc lập để đưa vào danh mục dự án thực hiện theo hình thức đối tác công tư (PPP), triển khai xong trong năm 2020.
Còn đoạn Phú Mỹ-Vũng Tàu sẽ xem xét đầu tư sau vào thời điểm thích hợp theo hình thức phù hợp với điều kiện nguồn lực.
Theo Bộ GTVT, dự án cao tốc Biên Hòa-Vũng Tàu được thiết kế theo tiêu chuẩn đường cao tốc loại A, vận tốc thiết kế 100-120 km/giờ, quy mô 4-8 làn xe. Chiều dài toàn tuyến khoảng 77,87 km chuẩn cao tốc, còn lại là các đoạn nhánh nối và đường phố chính đô thị. Điểm đâu tuyến nối với đường tránh quốc lộ 1 đoạn tránh thành phố Biên Hòa, cách ngã 3 Vũng Tàu 6,5 km. Điểm cuối tuyến tại km 68+670 đoạn Biên Hòa- Phú Mỹ- quốc lộ 51. Tổng mức đầu tư toàn bộ dự án khoăng 24,478 tỉ đông.
Bộ GTVT cho biết đây là dự án có quy mô lớn, năng lực của nhà đầu tư hiện tại là Công ty CP Phát triển đường cao tốc Biên Hòa-Vũng Tàu (BVEC) không đảm bảo nếu thực hiện theo hình thức BOT (xây dựng-vận hành-chuyển giao).
